John McCain suffered for our sins in a Communist POW camp, yet survived and resurrected a political career marked by service to country and to selfless devotion to family and to his sacred honor. Now, in this, his most difficult hour of need, his chosen disciple, Sarah Palin, has in effect betrayed John McCain just as Judas betrayed Christ in the garden of Gethsemane.

Her 30 pieces of silver? - the backing of the so-called Christian Right for her own bid for the Presidency in 2012. Due to her complicity, the McCain campaign, and by logical extension, McCain himself, is being crucified, and the suffering will go on for 9 more days before he is put out of his misery.

One has to ask - "Why would a so-called Christian Right back a candidate whose resemblance to Judas Iscariot is so uncanny?"

Is it because the Evangelical Christian Militant Right is so far removed from true Christian principles as to care for nothing but power - have they truly become like the Pharisees of old? Are they ironically ignorant of the eerie similarities? Or is it because, like Judas, they are playing a divine part in bringing about destiny through betrayal?
